Publisher: The Zimbabwe Scientific Association

The Zimbabwe Scientific Association was founded in Bulawayo
in 1899 to promote the study and advancement of science in
Zimbabwe and to facilitate the acquisition and dissemination of
scientific knowledge.

The Zimbabwe Science News was first published in 1967 and is now
in its thirty-third volume. It is normally published quarterly.
The content is multi-disciplinary and semi-popular.

Zimbabwe Science News is intended to act as a bridge between scientists and
between scientists and the public. It is therefore not primarily meant as a
medium for the publication of original research. It is our expectation that
scientists will use ZSN to disseminate their research results in a way which
can largely be understood by an O level student and which provides a
guidance to the relevance of the research in the Zimbabwean, regional or
global context. ZSN provides the opportunity for scientists to be more
controversial in their interpretation and to discuss their findings more
comprehensively than is the case in peer review journals. However, articles
should still be concise and to the point and easy to read. We encourage the
submission of review articles which provide an up-date about a particularly
topical, interesting or neglected area of science in Zimbabwe or the region.

Online access is free and issues date back to 1995.
