Interest in phylogenetic relations and in reconstructing the history of life
is experiencing a dramatic renaissance, perhaps comparable only to that of
the Darwinian revolution near the turn of the last century. To encourage
this renaissance, Zoology strives to provide a common forum where all
aspects of zoology are presented from an explicitly comparative perspective.
The journal invites papers that take a comparative approach to biogeography,
ecology, behavior, morphology, development, physiology, cell biology, and
genetics. By providing a wide stage, Zoology intends to promote an
interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of animal form, function,
development, and evolution. The editors and editorial board are also
committed to remaining flexible enough to adjust to the ever changing field
of animal biology.
Audience:
Zoologists in functional anatomy, ethology and neurobiology, physiology,
developmental biology, ecophysiology, population biology and evolutionary
biology
